Lincoln County is in Nevada's South Zone. The approved 2026–27 duck and merganser season, excluding scaup, runs October 17–25, 2026, then October 28, 2026–January 31, 2027. The separate Moapa Valley schedule does not apply to Lincoln County.
Key Pittman application deadline
NDOW's current small-game guide sets the Key Pittman Wildlife Management Area waterfowl application deadline at 11 p.m. September 7, 2026, with draw results due by September 18. The guide directs applicants to NDOW's licensing portal. Check the portal's application instructions and confirmation; this article does not establish an individual reservation.
Opening-day reservations and the remainder-of-season process differ. Key Pittman also has designated hunt days and check-in requirements. Read the complete WMA rules before planning a visit; the general season dates do not mean every day is open at the management area.
Limits and required documents
The general duck daily limit is seven, with 21 in possession; lower species-specific limits apply. South Zone scaup season is November 7, 2026–January 31, 2027, with a two-bird daily limit and six in possession, counted within the general duck limit. Legal shooting time is one-half hour before sunrise through sunset.
